Smart Environment Monitor
The UniFi Environmental Sensor is designed to keep you informed about critical environmental conditions. It features multiple built-in sensors: temperature, humidity, ambient light, and water detection. An AUX jack accepts a probe for water leaks for extra flexibility. It operates on a replaceable lithium CR123A battery, delivering up to six years of use under normal conditions. Connection is via Ubiquiti’s proprietary SuperLink wireless protocol, offering long-range transmission up to two kilometers (in ideal conditions), and very low power usage at around 35 milliwatts. The supported voltage is nominal 3 V. Operating frequency varies by region: US models use ~915-927 MHz, while EU versions use ~865-869 MHz. The built-in LED indicators provide clear feedback on device status and signal strength, while the reset and function buttons make testing and maintenance simple. All of which makes it ideal for continuously monitoring your spaces for leaks, comfort, and ambient light without frequent battery changes.
Durable Design
Built with thoughtful engineering, this sensor is compact and rugged. The main body is made from polycarbonate, while its mount is galvanized steel. Mounting options include adhesive, magnetic, or screw fixings so you can place it wherever it’s most useful — walls, ceilings, racks, or other surfaces. The enclosure has IPX5 water-resistance, protecting against water jets, though not for full immersion. It works reliably in a wide ambient temperature range from -20 °C to 40 °C, and handles relative humidity up to 90% without condensation. The sensor is compact, lightweight, and discreet, allowing for quick installation in any space without drawing attention. It’s certified under FCC, IC, and CE, and compliant with NDAA where required. Seamless integration with the UniFi Protect ecosystem (via web and mobile apps) enables remote setup, real-time alerts, and status monitoring. This makes the USL-Environmental an excellent choice for smart homes, server rooms, and business environments where reliable environmental monitoring is essential.
